Life is a journey

Life is a journey. And like life, the therapeutic journey is a little different for everyone.

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons.
Sometimes it’s a breakup, the death of a loved one, addiction, or trauma.
Sometimes it’s a desire to get perspective, a confirmation of something you already suspect, or the sense that you’re not living in alignment with who you really are.

Maybe it’s boundaries.
Maybe it’s authenticity.
Maybe it’s, “I need to get my shit together and talk to someone who swears as much as I do.”
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Therapy is about awareness. And awareness is what gives us choice.

The more we understand why we do what we do, the more intentional and purposeful we become with the people we love — and with ourselves.

I’m not the expert on your life. You are.

I’m a trained clinician, sure, but I’m also a fellow traveler.
I’m the caddy; you’re the golfer.

It’s your shot. Your decision. Your life.
I’m just here to help you see the blind spots, consider the options, and figure out the kind of game you want to play.

Therapy can be transformative — and uncomfortable — and sometimes terrifying.

But it’s also a space for exploration, growth, discovery, humor, honesty, grief, healing, meaning-making, and all the messy human stuff in between.

And the truth is:
We don’t have to do any of it alone.

About

About Me

My name is Michael Griffin, but most people — except my mother — call me Griff. I’ve spent the last 14 years working as a mental health counselor.

I started my career in the wilderness here in Central Oregon, working with young adults in individual and group therapy and supporting families through systems work.

Over the years, I’ve worked with people from every walk of life — teenagers, young adults, adults, and families navigating complex challenges.

In private practice, I specialize in:

Addictive disorders

Codependency

Anxiety & Depression

Trauma & PTSD

ADHD

Failure-to-launch dynamics

Family systems

I bring clinical training, honesty, humor, and genuine curiosity to the room. My goal isn’t to tell you who to be — it’s to help you reclaim the version of yourself you already know is in there.
